Do you bookmark the show? Make sure you have the NEW link:
- As of April 3, 2006, we have a new streaming provider for the The Dave Ramsey Show online.
- If you currently bookmark the link to the show, you may need to change it.
- Visit the new page link NOW and bookmark it.
Update your player
You can update your players for FREE at http://www.real.com or http://www.microsoft.com. This should take care of your problem.
Do you have Adobe Flash Player installed?
In order to access the The Show online, you will need to download the latest version of Adobe Flash. This is software is free to download and will only take a minute to install. You can get the latest version at http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer.
If you do not have administrator rights or still have problems accessing the show after installing the player, try accessing the older version of the show archives.
Trouble with Windows Media?
You may need to reset Windows Media Player to play the audio file types. Instructions: Open Windows Media Player, click the "Tools" menu, then select "Options." Choose the "File Types" tab and click the "Select All" button, then click "Apply." You should be good to go.
AOL Users
AOL 6.0 and above uses their own streaming player. We recommend you disable AOL's streaming player and use windows media player. Instructions: Find your "Settings" (it should be on your AOL toolbar). Look for "Multimedia" under the "By Category" tab. Click "Multimedia" again, uncheck the box that says "Use AOL media player for supported file types," click "Save."
You may also need to reset Windows Media Player to play the audio file types. Instructions: Open Windows Media Player, click the "Tools" menu, then select "Options." Choose the "File Types" tab and click the "Select All" button, then click "Apply." You should be good to go.
Remaining Streaming Issues
- There may be a problem with you not having the latest codec in Windows Media...you should be able to update your players for free at Microsoft.com or Real.com. You can also set your Windows Media Player to download the codecs automatically. In Windows Media Player: Click Tools, Options, and choose the Player tab. Check the "Download Codecs Automatically" box and click "Apply."
- Please let us know if you are able to connect to the live stream but not the archives.
- Archive link issues - looking into it.
Old Issues
If you see any issues on this list that you are still experiencing, please let us know!
- Windows Media cutting out should be fixed (Microsoft server needed an update).
- A better quality of Live stream than we have had over the past year. Archives will be better as new ones are created.
- Access to the stream from behind a firewall (usually at work).
